Nasik is located in the northern part of Maharashtra.

Mythology: Nasik is considered one of the seven Moksha-puris (sacred places) in Hinduism. According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that the Ramayana's sage Valmiki lived here, and the city has strong connections to the story of Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana. It is said that Lord Rama, during his exile, visited this region, where Sita was abducted by Ravana.

The city has a long and varied history, dating back to ancient times, with evidence of settlements from the Maurya period and the Satavahana dynasty.
