Kanha National Park is located in the Madhya Pradesh state, in central India.

The park covers an area of about 940 square kilometers. It is part of the Kanha Tiger Reserve, which spans around 1,945 square kilometers.

Tiger Conservation: Kanha has played a major role in tiger conservation in India, particularly under the Project Tiger initiative, which was launched by the Indian government in 1973. The park has seen a steady increase in its tiger population due to effective anti-poaching measures and habitat management.
